Conference Publication

Aono gave a lecture at the 2013 Annual Fall Conference of the Michigan Space Grant Consortium in Ann Arbor, MI. Paper titled Extracting Speaker Features from Sub-Vocal Speech Using Jump Resonance Filtering, not available online. The MSGC is funded in part through a NASA training grant.

Graduate Fellowship

Aono has been awarded the Graduate Fellowship from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for the 2013-2016 years. The National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) helps ensure the vitality of the human resource base of science and engineering in the United States and reinforces its diversity. The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees at accredited US institutions.
